Cookie Policy
This policy covers the website at cadvix.com. The Cadvix software uses no cookies. What the software itself sends to us, and the switches that stop it, are set out in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period. First-party cookies are set by this site; third-party cookies are set by services we use.
2. Your choice comes first
Nothing except the strictly necessary cookies below is set until you agree. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page, which reopens the same panel you saw on your first visit.
3. Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work, or remember a choice you made here. They are not used to follow you.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cadvix_consent | Cadvix | Remembers the choices you made here | 1 year |
| cadvix-motion | Cadvix | [Browser storage, not a cookie.] Remembers that you chose Reduce motion, only when you choose it | Until you turn it off |
| cadvix-invite | Cadvix | [Browser storage, not a cookie.] Remembers that you arrived through an invitation link, so that the checkout opens for you | Until you clear it |
The checkout. Paddle's checkout is loaded from Paddle when you press a buy button, or when you open our buy page or a payment link Paddle sent you, and not before. Paddle may store what it needs to take a payment safely, under its own cookie policy.
4. Analytics
Set only with your consent. These tell us which pages are visited and where visitors arrived from. Until you consent to analytics or to advertising, nothing from Google is loaded. If you accept advertising but not analytics, Google Tag Manager loads, and Google Analytics may count the visit without storing anything on your device or recognising you again.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager | Tells one browser apart from another, using a randomly generated number | 13 months |
| _ga_M2VBP6CS3E | Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager | Keeps the session state for this site's Analytics property | 13 months |
5. Advertising
Set only with your consent. These measure whether our advertising reaches the right people and allow us to show follow-up advertising.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta | Identifies the browser so an advert can be matched to a visit | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta | Stores the click identifier from a Meta advert you followed here | 90 days |
Names and durations in the two tables above were measured in a browser on 9 September 2026, rather than copied from the providers' documentation. A provider can change either without telling us, so if you find a difference, please tell us.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies will stop parts of many websites from working, including this one. Your consent choice here is itself stored in a cookie, so clearing your cookies will bring the banner back.
7. Do Not Track
There is no agreed standard for how websites should respond to a Do Not Track signal, so we do not act on it. Use the controls on this page instead. They work.
8. The law this policy answers to
- The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, which require your consent before anything that is not strictly necessary is stored on or read from your device, with a few narrow exceptions.
- UK GDPR, which governs any personal data collected through cookies, and for visitors in the European Union, the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy rules of their country.
- Guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office on cookies and similar technologies, which we follow.
Your rights over any personal data collected through cookies, and how to exercise them, are set out in section 16 of our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes
When we change the cookies we use, we update this page and the effective date at the top of it.
| Date | Version | Change |
|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | 1.x | First publication |
| 9 September 2026 | 2.0 | TikTok removed. Its tag was never correctly installed: the published tag still carried the placeholder pixel identifier it shipped with, so nothing it sent reached an account of ours. Microsoft Clarity removed, as it is not in use. WordPress and cache cookies removed, as the site no longer runs on WordPress. Stated plainly that the software itself uses no cookies. |
| 28 October 2026 | 2.1 | The consent banner is now part of this site rather than a CookieYes service, so the cookie that remembers your choice is set by Cadvix and named cadvix_consent. Choices made under the old banner are not carried over, so you are asked once more. The accessibility preferences panel was replaced by a single Reduce motion control, stored as cadvix-motion. |
| 28 October 2026 | 2.2 | Corrected when Google Analytics can count a visit: only once you accept analytics or advertising. Added cadvix-invite, the browser storage that remembers an invitation link, and the Paddle checkout. Said plainly which law requires consent, and that the software uses no cookies, with a pointer to what it does send. Removed the promise to ask again after a significant change, which the banner cannot yet do. |
